The Trenta museum

Na Logu, in the centre of Trenta, there is a Trenta museum collection, exposed to public in three halls of the former military building, that shows the life of the former Trenta and its curiosities. In the ethnograpghic department you can find a black kitchen and beside that also different tools and resourses from an every day life, above all made of wood. From the mountain history there are objects, used by the pioneers of alpinism during their climbing on the summits of the Julian Alps, a rich literature from this field and photos of famous mountain guides from Trenta. A special attention rouses the collection of the representatives of the Trenta`s fauna and flora and a Trenta bell which hung for a long time in the Trenta church and was casted in 1717 in Trenta from a home-made iron. A pretty considerable part of the show-room is dedicated to the legend of Goldhorn.
