Alpinum Juliana
This is an Alpine botanical garden, a monument of designated nature founded by Kugy's friend, a forest proprietor from Trieste, Albert Bois de Chesne in 1926. Juliana presents the plant life of our Alps and Karst, since species were brought from the lofty summits of the Julian Alps and the Kamnik Alps, the Karavanke, as well as from the mountain ranges of Friulia and Karst. The diversity of plant life, which took root so well in Trenta's soil and was brought here from so many different regions, is a telling display of the uniqueness of climate in Trenta and the Soča basin in general.
