The church of virgin Mary in the Field
The church stands by Bovec campsite and was erected in the 16th century. With its external features, tipical windows and ribbed vault in the presbytery, it belongs to the late Gothic period. The interior was painted in 1520 to 1540 by Jernej from Loka. During World War I the church suffered massive damage and its external appearance has partly been altered, while in the interior the frescoes on the left side of the triumphal arch have been preserved.

- the extent of it today was built in 15th century in gothic style
- it was decorated with paintings by Jernej from Loka in 1530
- in 1908 it was renewed, it had three gold altars of carnolian style

- there is the oldest preserved bell in the Tolmin district from 1615, casted in Udine
- it has an interesting ribbed arcade in the presbytery and pointed gothic door on the south side, the ceiling in the nave
- is made in Italian newgothic style
- in 1992 new stained glass were made by the academic painter Veselka Šorli - Puc
- during the summer the church is open for cultural activities
- the church is dedicated to the assumption of the Madonna
- in the earthquake in 1998 the church was damaged and it is being renovated again
- the church is a monument of the ist category.
