Dear lovers of the game of draughts – the queen of games!

In September 2006, Bovec successfully hosted the European Draughts Championship, where more than 120 of the best players from 18 countries of the “Old Continent” participated. Although the European Draughts Championship was a very special event that is not easily repeated, we are striving to continue the tradition of hosting top-level international competitions. Organising the Bovec Open 2007 international draughts tournament is yet another challenge for our town. During the tournament week, you will have a chance to meet some of the world’s best draughts players, soothe your soul in our serene valley criss-crossed by rivers and mountains, or colour your vacation with adrenaline sports and excursions. I am convinced that every participant will find something to suit his/her taste.
